OCV spearheaded a 3-year, tenant-in-occupancy rehabilitation of Capitol Hall, a 10-story supportive housing residency on the Upper West Side. The work upgraded and reconfigured the existing arrangement of shared kitchens and bathrooms. Tenants now enjoy the private use of basic facilities with continued access to community spaces.

Offices and community rooms were also improved and expanded. Through a clever repurposing of the building’s interior courtyard, former trash storage was transformed into a new community room with a Velux skylight roof.

In 2016 Capital Hall was awarded ‘Outstanding Residence of the Year’ by the Supportive Housing Network of New York.
