Serviam Gardens Senior Apartments

Serviam Gardens blends new construction with the renovation and adaptive reuse of an existing convent on the campus of Mount Saint Ursula to bring 243 units of affordable, independent, senior living to the Bronx.

As part of the Green Communities Program, an Enterprise Community Partners initiative, Serviam Gardens was designed with built-in sustainability, such as surface water management, water conservation, energy efficiency and a healthy living environment.

Among the amenities provided are:
- senior-oriented fixtures and finishes
- a library with reading rooms and computer stations
- wellness center with a work-out room and dance center
- a full community kitchen with adjoining dining
- a 54-seat theater
- offices for support staff and in-house social services
- apartments equipped with video intercom for both inter-complex communication and visitor entry
- a roof garden with productive plant areas for inter-generational activities between seniors and school children on the adjacent campus.
