Kingsbridge Terrace Veterans Residence

In keeping with OCV’s commitment to building sustainably, this LEED Silver veterans residence provides 76 units of green supportive housing to veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as those with a history of homelessness and substance abuse.

This new construction features green roofs, pervious hardscapes, energy efficient HVAC systems and appliances, a microturbine for waste energy capture and reuse, and low impact materials such as local, recycled, renewable and reclaimed.

Located adjacent to the Bronx VA, it is one of two veterans residences funded by the Jericho Project. Together they are the first dedicated housing for homeless vets to be built in NY in 20 years.

With common rooms, gardens, gyms and computer labs, the new residence is designed to create a sense of community among veterans of all eras.
