Habitat For Humanity-NYC

OCV is collaborating with Habitat for Humanity-NYC to rehabilitate and preserve several turn-of-the-century multi-family walk-ups as part of Habitat’s 100 Homes in Brooklyn Initiative.

The units will meet NYSERDA MPP as well as LEED for Homes standards. Among the sustainable features are highly efficient envelopes, energy efficient boilers, low-E windows, non-toxic materials, efficient fixtures and Energy-Star appliances.

A significant portion of the construction work on these projects is being completed by volunteers and future owners investing sweat equity as part of the Initiative, with architectural and construction management assistance from OCV.
