Fabria Houses Rehab

Fabria Houses, developed in concert with NYCHA, provides 65 units of low-income housing in two new buildings (37 units) and two rehabs (28 units) over a four-block radius in the lively neighborhood of the East Village. Featured here are the two tenement buildings rehabilitated and updated by OCV.

Attractive, low maintenance and sustainable materials are featured throughout lobbies, public areas and apartments.

Entry lobbies are on axis with rear gardens, making the public ground level accessible both visually and physically, and full of natural light and air.

Rear yards, now inhabitable and enhanced with low voltage safety lighting for extended use, provide outdoor havens for residents.

The buildings were funded based upon standards of sustainability and energy efficiency by DHCR. High efficiency boilers, Energy Star appliances and low-E glass windows are used throughout.
