Aaron Academy

This project for a private, special education school in midtown Manhattan, involved the conversion and programmatic expansion of an administrative floor in the school for academic use.

Part of the school’s mission is to integrate social, physical, artistic and academic instruction. The programmatic expansion addressed that mission through several flexible rooms. Included are a dance studio that can double as a classroom, and a large multi-purpose room that can be used as an auditorium, a gymnasium, divided in half to be used simultaneously, or double as classroom space.

Additionally, the school was outfitted with a new library, new restrooms with showering facilities, and new interior fixtures and finishes.
