55 WARREN

OCV converted the historic building at 55 Warren and 55 Murray Streets into a single address that redefines luxury living in Tribeca.

The renovation addresses the historic preservation of the two facades with a completely gutted, fully appointed contemporary interior.

As a unifying gesture, a new full depth courtyard in the center of the building was created. The natural light and air it brings in allows a sweep and height to the lofts that is unique in New York living.

The courtyard echoes the history of the building through its reclaimed wood cladding, part of which comes from the original joists of the building.

The result is one generous apartment per floor that spans between Warren and Murray Streets, creating wings connected by a courtyard bridge. A duplex complete with North and South facing terraces tops off the building.

Among the special features in the penthouse addition are a rooftop garden and exercise spa, an opening glass wall that seemlessly connects the living area with the rooftop landscape, custom designed interior floating stairs, and advanced home control systems.
