A native New Yorker, Richard Vitto founded OCV Architects
in 1986 and has since then been
unwaveringly dedicated to designing
innovative, sustainable
multi–family and supportive housing. As part of his housing work,
Mr. Vitto has designed numerous
community facilities, social
service facilities, and parks. He

John Coogan, a founding partner of OCV Architects, has nearly 40 years of experience designing multi-family housing developments, single-family homes, corporate offices, restaurants, educational facilities and community centers. John shares in the deep interest in housing that defines OCV as a leader in supportive and affordable housing design. With a specialization in residential rehabilitation, particularly in government assisted housing, tenant-in-occupancy rehabs, and Landmarks Preservation work, John has overseen the construction of over 20,000 affordable apartments throughout the metro area.
Mary Ellen Cooper
As the firm's LEED, WELL and Passive House certified consultant, Mary Ellen has realized some of OCV's most progressive supportive housing projects, bringing sustainability to housing that serves veterans, formerly homeless, and vulnerable New Yorkers alike.
Barbara has overseen a broad range of projects and clients, from extensive renovations and adaptations of Landmarked buildings and institutional projects, to new construction residential towers, down to small boutique bars and unique luxury apartments.
Having developed sustainable new construction projects and preserved well over 100 buildings in the five boroughs and Westchester, Luis has developed an expertise in the housing work that is a hallmark of OCV's commitment to making and improving homes in New York City and the surrounding area.
